Experience on OdioThe Lab for Spatial Aesthetics in Sound Berlin (spæs) was founded in 2020 by Johannes Scherzer and Gerriet K. Sharma. Both can look back on 20 years of practice in the field of spatial composition, design, installation art and performances with sound, a genre that was also called "spatial audio" lately. Today we are a community of artists, designers, and researchers, exploring the relationships between sound, space, and human experience with an emphasis on aesthetics specializing in very different fields including art, music, design, theatre, film, architecture, scenography, communication, and information studies.

Experience on OdioIn her compositions, JacqNoise is looking for the spot where rhythms cross each other’s paths. She is deconstructing sounds in order to understand the symphony and the themes that reflex in it. During live performances JacqNoise synchronizes with her surroundings. She finds her main source of inspiration in cultural cross-pollination. Lately she is observing rhythmic sounds in nature.

Experience on OdioMax Frimout is a musician from Eindhoven, The Netherlands, with a background in engineering physics. His methods for music production include the use of analog modular synthesis, field recording, composing with algorithms, digital processing of acoustical instruments and more. He performs live textural work and techno sets in an all modular environment.
Joon Kwak
Virtual Sky
Experience on OdioJoon Kwak is a designer by day and a Producer/DJ by night. Working with sound as the main medium of his works, he is the founder of the original concept of ‘Odio’, the soundscape app. Recently, he has been producing sounds for Samsung, Thom Browne, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, and so on. He is also part of Seoul’s key club FAUST where he plays techno on the weekends.
