In 2024, we made big improvements to the app’s foundation, thanks to the collaboration with our friends at Unbeatable Software. We also launched Composer, a new feature that lets you create your own spatial ambient soundscapes.
And we dipped our toes into visionOS, which sparked some great reactions.
Here’s a quick look at what we’re currently working on—no promises on when it’ll be ready, but we’re excited about where things are heading.
Quarterly albums
We’re aiming to release a new soundscape album every few months. We collaborate with artists from around the world, which makes the process rich and rewarding—but also time-consuming. Most of us work on Odio in our spare time, so things move at a thoughtful pace.
Final version of Composer
Composer is getting close to its full release. We also want to make it accessible to non-members—just like our soundscapes, you’ll be able to try it before deciding to support us.
Smaller project files
We’re improving compression for imported sounds in Composer. That way, projects stay lighter and are easier to share.
Soundscape sharing
We want to make it easy to share Odio soundscapes with others—whether they’re listeners or fellow creators.
More audio controls
We’re exploring new options for handling imported audio in Composer. More flexibility, more fun.
Live performance support
We’d love to make live performances with Odio possible—especially on surround speaker setups.
Sound animation
We’re working on a feature that lets you animate sounds along paths like circles or ellipses, and set the speed. A gentle new way to shape motion in space.
visionOS experiments
Still in the works. Nothing final to share just yet, but we’ll let you know when something exciting lands.
Thanks for listening, creating, and being part of Odio.
