Composer is a new part of Odio that lets you build your own spatial soundscapes using your own audio loops. It’s simple to use and opens up an entirely new dimension to how sound can be experienced and shared.
Whether you want to recreate the ambience of a real place, or shape something more abstract and meditative, Composer gives you the tools to explore and express in spatial audio.
Odio 2.0 with Composer is now available for download on the App Store.
Think in Space, Not Just in Sound
At the heart of Composer is our virtual soundstage. You can place sounds around you in space, just like placing objects in a room. Each sound has position, direction, and width. This turns your loops into part of a living, breathing soundscape.
You can use mono or multichannel loops (up to 8 channels), stack and stretch them, and mix different loop lengths to create subtle variation over time. Composer supports recording new sounds on the spot or importing files directly from your device.
How to Start
Creating your first project is simple. Head to the Composer tab and tap to start a new soundscape. You’ll find an empty soundstage, ready to be filled.
You can import your own recordings, record new ones, or use a few loops from our in-app library.
As you add more soundscapes to a project, all your previously added loops remain available, making it easy to reuse or remix ideas across variations.

More Than Just Tools
We designed Composer to be part of a broader creative space. We invite you to share your work with our community, so others can experience your work as well.
If you share your work with us and it resonates, we may invite you to publish it in our catalog alongside other artists from around the world.
What Is Odio?
Odio is a platform for listening to and creating immersive ambient soundscapes using spatial audio. It’s available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro.
If you’re using AirPods that support dynamic head tracking, Odio responds to the movement of your head, anchoring the soundscape in space around you. Without head tracking, we fall back to a high-quality binaural mix, still spacious, still immersive.
Albums, Soundscapes, and Sound Objects
Odio releases albums from artists who compose with space in mind. Each album is made up of six to eight soundscapes, created using layered audio loops. These are carefully arranged to form dynamic, often endless, compositions that evolve with each listen.
Listeners can also interact with these soundscapes, by repositioning sounds or combining elements to create their own version.
Every sound in Odio is a loop-based audio file, either mono or multichannel. These are what we call “sound objects,” and they’re the building blocks of each soundscape, whether you’re listening or composing.
Let us know what you create with Composer. We built it to give creative freedom to those who want to shape sound as space.
